Capital punishment is the legally authorized killing of someone as punishment for a crime. I’m totally against this measure because although someone thinks that someone should be punished with death, whatever the explanation they give, they are killing, and justice should not have the right to decide whether someone can or cannot live.
Firstly, in many cases where the capital punishment is put into practice, the judges and the government many times takes into to account the criminals origins and social class, so at the time of judging they are generally unfair because they judge what they physically see, not the gravity of the crime they commit. Although nowadays technology is really developed, there is always a chance that a judicial error occurs. And in these cases, these are irreversible situations.
Secondly, with all the problems many countries are suffering, for example, of hunger, governments should be taking care about these situations instead of spending time and big amount of money. Concerning the high cost of death penalty, the method of death is not the only thing which costs money, but also the entire judicial process, that is to say, appeals and judges.
In conclusion, a lot of time and money is spent on something that only brings more deaths, and nobody has the right to take someone’s life. In my opinion, capital punishment should be banned in all the countries because no one deserves to die for someone else’s fault.
